Our ovulation tests are over 99% accurate in detecting luteinising hormone (LH) peaks, which are crucial in identifying your most fertile period.

To determine the best time to carry out an ovulation test, it is important to know the usual length of your menstrual cycle. Ovulation generally occurs once a month, in the middle of the cycle, within a window of 12 to 24 hours. Based on the length of your cycle, you can plan to start testing a few days before expected ovulation. It is advisable to avoid the first morning's urine for testing, as this can give a false positive result. Ovulation tests detect an increase in luteinising hormone (LH), which occurs 12 to 36 hours before ovulation. It is advisable to carry out the tests at the same time each day for greater accuracy. If the ovulation test is positive, you will ovulate within 12 to 24 hours and, if you have not already done so, you should start having sexual intercourse.

If you're one of those people who can't wait, you should know that, technically, the earliest a pregnancy test can be carried out is seven to ten days after ovulation - traces of hCG start to appear in your urine around ten days after the egg has been fertilised. This means that a woman can have a positive pregnancy test result several days before the start of her period.
